30s Slinky White Lace Wedding Gown Full Bishop Sleeves

This is an absolutely stunning and just the right amount of sultry 30s lace wedding gown. The gown has a slightly cowled neckline that drapes into the empire waist bodice of the gown. The gown itself is simple with the bias-cut skirt so it hangs gracefully hugging the figure and falling to the floor. In the back, the gown has the great detail of a long keyhole and gorgeous art deco seaming of the era. The gown has a medium-length train that is slightly pointed at the end and has a small loop to stick your finger through to hold it up when needed. My favorite part of this gown that really helps it stand out from the rest are the sleeves. They are super full balloon style sleeves that are beautifully pleated at the shoulders and fall draping slightly over the fitted cuff that starts just past ¾ length. The sleeve cuffs are pointed and fitted to the wrist with a row of covered buttons. The dress buttons up the back as well with more covered buttons too.

Condition:
Unfortunately, this dress is made solely of lace is not in great condition overall. It is still salvageable with a fair amount of TLC. I think lining the dress in a strong netting to support the lace would be a good option, but again it would take a good amount of time and work. The dress also has a stunning silhouette so it could be used for patterns as well. There are breaks in the lace all over and there are a few spots photographed that are large; the left shoulder, just below the hips on the left, both of the fitted cuffs, and the hole in the front left of the hem of the skirt. This gown is just beautiful and has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to find a new home.
