30's Orange Funky Check Rayon Dress with Cotton Lace Trim$85.00
This lovely little 1930's number knows she's not perfect, but hoping someone will love her anyway!
This lightweight, bias-cut rayon dress comes in a lively reddish-orange ground color, with funky blue, grey and white diagonal windowpane check pattern. Look closely and notice that the white lines are slightly squiggly, giving them a hand-drawn feel. The squared neckline and sleeves are trimmed in a pale pink to white cotton lace trim. The cut of this dress is also very interesting, as it has dual seams that run from the neckline down, then out to create the waist seam, with delicate pin gathering at underbust. Two side seam attached self-fabric sashes at waist. PLEASE NOTE: there is no closure/opening on this dress, so you would have to shimmy it over your head -thus, why we could not photograph on a mannequin! The bias cut of the fabric does allow for some stretch. No labels or makers marks. Overall condition is good, with light staining at upper bust, moderate staining (could not lift stains with treatment and cleaning) at skirt and three repaired holes at skirt (please see pics for full details), otherwise this dress is strong, clean and ready to wear!!
