There wasn't a whole lot of casual in the 30s. This may have been women's golf hat or sport hat but there's no reason why this wouldn't have been worn with a day dress. This is very fine machine-woven straw! Possibly seagrass reeds. Unlined, grosgrain sweatband, not one label, but there's evidence that one was once there. No union labels, nothing under the sweatband! CONDITION: maybe some faint yellowing but other wise flawless and completely wearable.
