RARE 1930s Tub-It Hat - 1930s Washable Hat - 1930s Pale Blue Hat - 1930s Womens Blue Hat - 1930s Blue Hat - 1930s Sportswear Hat - 30s Hat

This cutie is just too cool! Professional construction from the Tub-It label. The hat is patented by Jack Dubin in 1936, he was looking to make a washable and ironable hat so that it could withstand the test of time and it clearly has! I have been unable to find another of its kind anywhere but I did find the original patent and patent image (US2051594A). The hat is done in a great shade of bright pale blue linen with a matching grosgrain ribbon around the crown and features a unique hidden metal zipper that runs vertically to the back of crown of the hat so that each half can be easily ironed. There is also a hidden snap at the back of the brim, so that it too might be easily pressed after laundering. The intended fit is as shown, with great 30s styling!

Condition is listed as very good plus. zero damage and only a hint of age noted to the grosgrain ribbon. The interior shows use appropriate minor soiling. I have not washed this piece but it can be done at your discretion. Such a great piece of fashion history and so very stylish!
