This is a sleek and stunning inky black 30s gown. The dress is made of a silky soft moire print fabric, (I can't tell if its silk or a really soft and high-quality rayon). The dress is simple with beautiful art deco lines. The dress has a high neckline, with wonderful leg of mutton sleeves that have stiffening at the shoulder to make them puff just a bit. The back of the dress is sultry and a bit sexy with an open back. The dress is bias cut and skims over the hips falling to the floor adding a nice sweep to the dress. The dress has a side placket on the left side that has very unique brass fastenings that are slide in snaps. The dress is also made for someone tall. It's 62 inches in length and the sleeves are too long on my mannequin so the sleeves look like they are cinched above the elbow when they taper in mid-forearm.

Condition:

The dress is in near mint condition with one spot where there was a repair to the hem. You can only tell when looking at the backside of the dress. The seams also have been reinforced as the thread just gave out. The dress has been professionally laundered and is ready to wear.
