This is a gorgeous gold silk satin evening bag embellished with hand beading in white and iridescent bronze beads as pictured.

Made in France circa 1930s to 1940s.

Ruched at both sides of the the top where it is sewn to the frame as pictured.

Gold tone filigree top embellished with faux pearls as pictured.

Lined with a lighter gold silk satin which is sewn in by hand. One interior pocket.

Hinged metal frame with an interior "kiss" clasp and decorative pearl exterior clasp as pictured.

Short gold tone metal chain handle.

The back of the purse is identical to the front.

DESIGNER: Stamped Made in France / Hand Made in gold on the interior pocket.

MEASUREMENTS:

7-3/4" across the widest part of the purse and 5-1/4" tall (top to bottom) plus 1/2" top pearl clasp.

The chain handle measures 6-1/4" end to end with a 3" center drop.

Very Good - no stains, holes, rips, tears, snags, fading, discoloration, darkening, or odors to the outside of the bag. There is minor surface soiling to the gold silk fabric, and the lining is slightly darkened around the interior opening.

The chain handle has darkened with age - I have not attempted to polish it.

Appears to have been gently used and very well cared for.

Perfect for a bride or bridesmaid. Gorgeous for any special occasion - a handbag you will enjoy and use for many years.
