This early 1930s cloche style hat in black fur felt features darling flower appliqués in a “wreath” around its rounded crown. A rayon satin bow trims the top center. In back, the crown extends below the circle of floral trim, to hug the back of the head. Unlike a deeper, 1920s cloche, this hat will cover only about the top half of the head when worn, extending a bit lower in the back than in front. In very good condition, the only issue with the hat is the inner grosgrain band, which has some discoloration, not seen when the hat is worn—the crown looks perfect! Labeled a hat size 22, it will probably fit best on a smaller head size, since the inner circumference of the crown is only 21 inches. The floral appliqués are really sweet, and this early 1930s hat is in remarkably nice condition, given that it is 90 years old!
