30s Evening Jacket Gold Patchwork Print Rayon Faille$55.00
This late 1930s lightweight jacket in a paisley patchwork print is made of rayon faille with a subtle, variegated texture. The hip-length jacket has a long collar, gathered shoulders with a slightly puffed shape, (no shoulder pads), 2 diagonal pockets in front, and straight, bracelet-length sleeves. It is gently flared from the bust to the hem, and most fitted at the shoulders. 2 fabric-covered buttons and loops fasten the jacket at the neck. In back, the jacket has topstitching that forms a yoke with a point in the center, across the shoulders. The lightweight faille fabric is fully lined with ivory rayon taffeta. This lining fabric has a bit of yellowing at the edges of the underarms and a spot on it (see photos), neither of which is visible from the front/outer side when worn. Other than the lining, the only other issue to note is some very minor wear to the inner edge of the collar. This bold print 1930s jacket will be a nice layering piece for indoor or outdoor wear--depending on your weather and climate. It is in good condition, recently dry-cleaned and ready to wear.
