PREPARE TO WEEP!
It's a beauty, is it not? It's not perfect. The sleeves are rich emerald green silk charmeuse, with a satiny sheen......and they cannot be saved! There is shattering on both sides (shown) and a little on the collar too. The bishop sleeves balloon to crepe cuffs with an amazing cuff treatment: Art Deco square studs and faded square rhinestones. Cowl neck, midi length, belt loops, no belt. It was shortened! Maybe by about 2". No zippers! This was late 20s, early 30s, before zippers were put in dresses. Single button closure in back of neck and snaps at side. A determined and experienced seamstress can make a pattern of the sleeves and make new ones. They are too fabulous to lose completely! It has not been dry cleaned as there isn't a dry cleaner around here that will attempt to clean it, so some soiling on inside of collar.
