Amazing 1930s black velvet dress

- Ruched at bust, shoulders, and back of skirt

- Incredible rhinestone and silver beaded sheer mesh panels along the side of each sleeve

- Velvet-covered buttons down the back and at wrists

- Elastic stretch waist

Good condition—several small flaws but very wearable! Please see pictures.

- This dress was purchased from the estate of a theatrical costume designer. It appears to have been altered to include the side zipper, elastic waist, hook-and-eye closure, and gathered skirt (which has elastic on the underside). None of this is noticeable when worn.

- Ruching has been re-sewn on left shoulder—it is slightly looser but not terribly noticeable.

- Right sleeve mesh has separated from velvet near wrist—still structurally stable and hardly noticeable.

- Missing velvet on one button at right wrist and two on left wrist

- Hem has fallen slightly on back of skirt

- Small mends on front near waist and near zipper

- Armpits have been repaired

- Repair on back near waist

- Small popped seam on right side of waist

- Safety pin holding v-neck in place underneath - not visible when worn but can be sewn if desired

- Priced AS-IS to reflect condition
