Fabricated in a that gorgeous 1930s silk velvet that we all know and love. Silk lining was dry and shattering and had to be removed, but the warm, fleecey interlining is sturdy and in place. This is a clutch style opera coat with no fasteners. Maxi length Gorgeous gathers at the collar help to hold the collar up in a dramatic position. Fluttering lapels done in a contrasting beige velvet. Sleeves gathered at the forearm with a bubble finish. Maker: Unknown Condition: Very Good. I removed the silk lining as it was shattering. There are small traces of lining in the interior seams. There are a few very small holes (1-2mm max), and a 1” repair to the hem with a touch of surface balding(you do not see when worn). We added a few stitches to correct a seam separation at the lapels. (see photos) I did give this a cold water soak with a mild detergent to remove the dust. Arrives sturdy and ready to wear.
