30s/40s Tooled Leather Shoulder Bag Purse$50.00
This tooled leather bag is technically a purse, but can be worn as a shoulder bag. I believe it dates to the 1930s or 1940s. Features a profile of a Native American man with headdress, framed by floral patterns on front and back. Inside has several pockets on both sides.
SIZE:
Width at base - 10"
Height - 7"
Depth - 2.5"
Strap length - 24" (not adjustable)
MATERIAL/COLORS: Tobacco brown tooled leather, lined in smooth dark red leather.
TAGS: No maker's tag. A former owner did try to emboss her name into the inner flap: "Blanche".
CLOSURES: A decorative brass turnlock backed with dark red celluloid or cellophane.
CONDITION: The inner flap has scattered small stains and pen marks plus a superficial scratch. There are a few marks on the outer bottom, minor "lift" of diamond tool pattern on flap where it folds - see closeup. Some areas of wear to the leather whip stitching, but no breaks
