30s/40s Southwestern Style Strange Silver Belt Buckles$45.00
Add some beautiful mystery to your wardrobe, with this strange belt buckle begging to be worn again!
This weird belt buckle was found at a flea market, wherein I sifted through thousands of jewelry pieces -(Antique and Vintage) thrown into many containers- to find the matching piece. Yes, this is an older style belt buckle (most likely no younger than 1940's), with two separate pieces that clasp together at the center -it will need to have leather or fabric added to make the belt section. But, the real glory of this piece is the interesting design that has been utilized: a Southwestern style flair, with what I see as a 'concho' shape at center medallion, flanked by four pyramid or tri-stud style pieces surrounding (again, what I interpret as) bee skeps. The ground space is filled in and decorated with many small notches, dashes and pit marks. It is made from a silver color metal, which is very rigid and hard -not malleable at all. No marked with any hallmarks or maker's marks of any kind (darn it!). Overall condition is excellent to near mint with little to no signs of wear and no flaws to note! Please review photographs for full details.
Measurements:
- 5.5 inches total length when both sides are linked
- 2 inch width of center concho medallion
- approximately 1cm depth/height
