30s/40s Silky Peach Bias Cut Silk Nightgown Lacy Neckline$275.00
This is a lovely 30s to 40s peachy silk bias cut nightgown. The gown has a stunning beige lace neckline that on the left side snakes down past the bust and into the waistline following the floral pattern in the lace. It is just such a sultry detail. The gown still has a sweet feminine vibe as well with lace cap sleeves. The gown is V-ed in the back and trimmed with the same lace as the neckline. The gown is bias cut and drapes lovely over the figure falling to the ankles. The hem at the center front has a large lace panel that scallops up about 4” at the center into the hem. The rest of the hem has small lace trim.
Condition:
The gown is in great condition with only a few small flaws to note. There are very small holes in the hem about two pin prick size holes near the hem. There is also a small spot where it has a grayish, most likely, dust spot. It is not very large and falls in the volume of the skirt so it can be hard to see. There was also a matching belt at one time but it has been lost in time. The gown has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
