I cannot even express how incredibly stunning this coat is! The HUGE shearling collar. The thick and heart cut fur on the sleeves. The nipped waist and the rich tannish brown bouche' wool. Its just rare and fabulous.
If you are a lover of 30s 40s fashion this coat is a must!
I am really sorry about the photos colors. I live in WA and the gloomy weather has arrived and at 69 yrs old I am not a great photographer or editor. The color is closer to a light brown with some grey undertones and fur is a beige with grey and brown tones. The coat is in amazing condition with minor wear. There is an apx 1" tear in liner that has not freyed so if you can match color with some thread you should be able to darn it cleanly. The front of the fur at the end of the collar has some wear from crossing each other when worn but it isn't distracting from the over all wow. The fur itself is in great vintage condition and is not showing drying or excessive shedding. The coat was well cared for and rare to find something from this era in this condition. The wool shows no stains, fades or moth bites.
Over all a 9/10 condition for age.
Measurements are taken flat back outer coat. Seam to seam so bust, waist and hips need to be doubled for full meaurements. The bust has some give due to the deep front that the fur basically covers. Two buttons hold coat closed.
