30s/40s Halo Hat Bonnet Up-turned Brim Black Wool Braid$55.00
This late 1930s or 1940s “halo” hat in black twill weave wool is shaped like a bonnet or cap with a wide, upturned brim that frames the face, and a conical (tapering to the top) crown. The asymmetrical up-turned brim is slightly flatter on the left side, so that is appears wider. It is trimmed with swirls of black braid and glass beads. The flat-topped crown is designed to sit at the back of the head, as shown, rather than pull down low. The crown of the hat is lined with lightweight black rayon. In excellent condition, this circa late 1930s-40s hat should look great with more tailored clothing like suits and coats, or with more casual styles, like wide-leg trousers.
