This is such an elegant 30s/40s silk and lace nightgown. The bodice of the nightgown is entirely made of a beautiful cream lace. It has wide lace straps and on the bodice is a white silk satin swirl shape that curls around the center of the bust with sweet little embroidered circles on it continuing to the top of the skirt. The skirt is made of a silk crepe that billows wonderfully around the ankles. It is very full for this style of the nightgown. There is a small spot on the center front of the lace applique that matches the bodice. The gown is almost entirely hand sewn with lovely french seams down the sides and all the details around the waistline as well. The only seams that are not hand sewn are the two gores in the skirt.

Condition:
The nightgown is in great condition with the only thing to note is some slight dust marks along the hem. Someone had sewn silver brick-back to the hem to hide it but it did not match the stunning simplicity or quality of this gown. The gown has been hand laundered and is ready to wear.
