What a rare and wonderful find. Estate 30s Peignoir. It is not tagged but so well made. Pin Tuck bodice with delicate blue velvet bows. Sheer cap sleeve bed jacket. Sheer overlay with shiny liquid satin under. Snap side. I at first thought this may be nylon but I am questioning if not a silk chiffon. Nylon was not even developed til mid 30's and was very rare during the era of WWII as for it was hard to find. This piece looks as if it was early 30s style so it would not be nylon and even if later it would probably not be nylon due to very few items where made of nylon for market until after the war.

Either way I cannot be exact on fabric but it is beautiful and delicate and flows and drapes amazingly.

The set is actually in very nice shape for 80 years old. I did not see much in damage and what I found I photographed. There was a pin head hole in back a small rip in lower back out shell and a small hole in one of the sleeves of bed jacket that is hard to see due to pleats. There is some breaking of the lace on the back nap of bed jacket. I may have missed something small this is not a new item. There is no stains noticed which is amazing. Possibly a light yellowing but my shop lighting did not see any. If there is just soak in an enzyme cleaner and some white vinegar. Hang in sun to dry. Works miracles on yellowing.

It is not sized and is shown pinned on the small frame mannequin. I do not warranty fit based on size whether tagged or implied due to supplying accurate measurements.

All measurements are taken flat back from seam to seam. Bust is pit to pit and there is some pleating for a bit more room if needed. Bust waist and hips need to be doubled for accurate measurements.
