Gorgeous black cocktail dress with gold beaded neckline. Features a taffeta bodice and peplum, gold sequins and beading around the neckline, strong shoulders, interesting seams on the sleeves near the elbows and tailoring at the shoulders, and a metal Talon zipper with a bell pull at the center back of the neck. The zipper and zipper pull dates the dress between the late 30s and the mid 40s. My gut says earlier 1940s. No label present but the belt does say Acme on the inside.

The sizing of this dress is a little odd. The measurements would make it a solid larger size, but due to the bodice being a non-stretch taffeta and the only closure being the zipper at the back of the neck it is a little restricted in sizing. I even had to get help putting it on my 33-25-34 mannequin so I think the main limiter would be your shoulders vs the dress waist.

That said, it is shown unpinned on my mannequin.

Dress is in excellent condition. Belt is a little stiff but still seems strong. No flaws to note.
