30s/40s Bias Cut Full Sweep Silk Lawn Applique Nightgown$200.00
Vintage 1930s to 1940s
Pullover long empire waist nightgown with a full sweep, front and back v-neckline. Gathered detail on the front bust, features tulip floral appliques. Pale green bias binding on armholes and hemline, contrast pale green waist trim. Off-white bias-cut silk lawn like material (there is one area on the skirt where the fabric was patched together to complete the panel), semi opaque, light and floaty. It is easier to step into the gown versus over the head.
She was given a gentle hand wash in a scent/dye free detergent. There are some stains that remain, they are all small. There are a couple of small holes on one shoulder. I repaired the bias binding on the left shoulder as well as removing the old previous fix and did slip stitches (you will see the scar marks from where I did this).
No tags anywhere, would be best for a modern XS possibly a modern S.
Actual measurements flat then doubled
