This “witchy” black straw late 1930s hat has an indented crown that is taller in front than in back, and an asymmetrical, wide brim edged with with lacy “horsehair” trim. A narrow wire band encircles the base of the crown, probably meant to be covered with a more decorative hatband—it would be easy to add one! The brim is widest at the center front and narrowest at the center back. The hat perches on top of the head, and therefore should fit most head sizes. The skinny black elastic band in back will help keep this 1930s tilt hat at your favorite, jaunty angle! The lacy black straw is unlined, with an inner band of black grosgrain ribbon. This true vintage, 1930s straw hat is in excellent condition.
