I have never had a tuxedo this amazing in the shop, and I probably won't again any time soon. What a signature piece.
The Details: This is a roughly 1930's era 100% wool three-piece formal tux. I will lead with the fact that there is a small bit of damage on the coat (shown) and then small holes less than a pencil tip size in some spots. Not moths, looks like age. A tailor could repair these. This tux has been professionally dry cleaned and is in very condition for its age. Rogers Peet Co., NY brand. See details on each piece below:
Pants: Wool pants with satin braided ribbon down the sides. Adjustable strap in the back to tighten the waist. Button fly and buttons on the inside for suspenders. Nice, striped lining.
Waist: 36"
Inseam: 35"
Coat: The coat has the small holes on it (less than 1/8") and on the front pocket - all could be easily mended by a tailor. Satin lapels, one button.
Shoulder (Side to side across the back of the neck): 17"
Sleeves: 25"
Chest: 20" armpit to armpit which is roughly a 40R
Waist: Coat narrows a bit to the waist: 38"
Vest: This vest has 4 pockets and 4 buttons. Full, satin back and adjustable strap that's intact. Lapels on the front, that are low cut.
Chest: 38" adjustable at the waist with the strap.
I'm here to make you look good.
What a fun item!
