Truly stunning find with this 1930’s Marshall Field & Co dressing gown! Luxurious crushed silk velvet in a berry color. Long sleeves with pointed cuff and smocked mutton sleeves, the sleeves are lined. One side snap closure and attached front tie belt. Main is not lined. There is one area near the bottom where the maker ran out of fabric and pieced together to fill the piece, for those who are unaware this was a common practice as fabric widths were more narrow than modern widths. Considering it's age the only flaws are some small holes on the front wrap, please see close up photo. This is not noticeable until you hold the panel up to the light. No tag size, about a modern medium or large depending on fit preference, on a modern size 6 mannequin with a 28" waist. This would make a fabulous study piece!Actual measurements flatbust: 20"waist: 17"hip: 22"sleeve to point: 25"center back length: 61"
