30’s Magenta Maxi Gown$345.00
Depending on the light the color shades almost change from magenta to fuchsia to maroon. Stunning and flattering construction details. Front bodice with modified sweetheart neckline and basque waist. Back flanges start at the shoulders and drop to the narrow waistline, accentuating one's figure. The dramatic, bustle-like back feature is a nod to the era's Victorian-inspired fashions. Full, tiered flounces at the shoulders finish off the look. The full skirt is gathered at the back and falls into a short sweep train. Made of a mid-weight rayon satin that drapes nicely. Side metal zipper. No labels or tags but the dress appears to be professionally tailored.
Excellent vintage condition. A few small flaws: some very faint discoloration on the armpits only visible under very bright light; couple of spots in the skirt near hem; small repair on bustle edge. See photos. Nothing that detracts from this amazing piece.
