30’s Army Green Patched Girl Scout Uniform Shift Dress$125.00
Measures 14” across the shoulders, 36” through the bust, 36” at the waist, 40” through the hips and length is 39”. Sleeves are 23” long from shoulder seam to cuff. Has thirteen patches/badges and three stars, removable snap on insert at neck, three patch pockets with buttons, embroidered “GS” on each side of collar; pulls on with no fastenings; has pleat in back to make it easier to get on; long sleeves with buttons at cuffs, and slight A-line skirt. Fabric is cotton or linen, medium weight, unlined. Label reads ”Girl Scouts of America”. Very good condition with no holes or stains; top pocket needs 1” of stitching where it’s loose at top and skirt has been let down several times so there are lines but this shows the history of the piece as the girl grew up and kept wearing the dress 😊. Also missing the belt; it does have belt loops. True color is light grey-green.
**A note on measurements: I like to give measurements on items rather than a numerical size as I find this to be a much more precise way of determining size. If the garment I have measures the same as a garment you have, you can be assured of a good fit. If you have any questions about how I did the measuring just email! PS don't forget YOU must measure at least 1-2 inches smaller than the garment does for comfort! :)
