Glamorous 30s or 40s black velvet evening jacket! The fabric is an ultra soft and plush black velvet with allover texturing (not as defined as pressed velvet). Squarish open jacket gathers into shoulder yokes with slight padding and topped with intricate epaulets formed from velvet cording in the shape of leaves. I lightened the sixth photo so you can see this feature. Large faux pearls (one slightly larger than the other) in silver settings act as closures, along with a loop of cording and two sets of hook and eyes. Fully polyester lined. I'm thinking that the original silk lining disintegrated and was replaced. The lining is a bit too long in back, could easily be shortened. Old Hollywood charm in excellent condition!
