This is a just wonderful whimsical 20s robe de style dress, made of a black silk charmeuse and blue chiffon. The dress has a scooped neckline that is trimmed in a leaf-shaped lace and has long sleeves with chiffon panels that run down the center. It has darling cuffs that are silk ruffles and are tacked up at the sleeves. The wrist is adorned with a sweet silk bow. The dress is that iconic 20s drop-waist silhouette. The skirt starts at the drop waist and has little boned panniers that are attached on the inside and sit against the upper thighs to hold out the sides of the skirt. It is a style that was inspired by 1700s pannier skirts and is so much fun reimagined in the art deco 20s style. The skirt is made of a blue chiffon base and is covered in so many ruffles of black silk with the edgings trimmed in a metallic thread. The dress is pull-on style and there is a small snap placket on the left side to help get the dress on. At the waist, there is a hook and eye to help keep that part extra secure.

Condition:
The dress is in great condition overall with no flaws to note. The only thing to mention is that one of the panniers had to be re-boned as the original feather boning was cracked and would no longer hold its shape. The elastic as well, which helped hold the shape, on both has also been replaced as it was dried out and no longer helped to hold the shape. The last thing is that the blue chiffon most likely was black and has faded to a rich navy blue. This does not affect the wear of the dress in any way and it is still so stunning. The dress has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
