Another incredible piece for the books! Exceedingly rare early 1920s bicorn hat, popularized by the 1921 release of the The Three Musketeers film. Professional construction with the original design stamp found at the interior silk lining "Lanasco Paris New York".

The hat is a wide flip brim cloche style with the wing pointed corners. Fashioned from a vibrant true pumpkin orange wool felt with a bold black velvet underside and black mirrored silk trim and bow with two faceted bead embellishments in front. The intended fit is as shown, cloche style at the top crown of the head down to the temples, the fit is intended to be somewhat loose and comfortable.

Condition is listed as very good, particularly with consideration to the age. There is some mild general notes of wear, some surface pile wear to the black velvet underside. there is a split in the mirrored silk edge trim at the top peak and a few minor bumps around the edges. The silk bows ends have a bit of fray. Structurally sound with no discoloration save for two teeny surface spots noted under one bow. Absolutely no moth damage whatsoever. Such an incredibly rare piece in impressive condition. This piece would make for a rare jewel addition to an advanced collection.
