Pretty dessert plate circa the early 1920s. Very lovely hand-painted flower pattern edges trimmed in gold. Marked "Hand Painted Nippon" and has the cherry blossom mark of five M's. Nippon was the word for Japan prior to World War One. After the war, all china from Japan was marked Japan, or Made in Japan, until WW2 when it was marked Occupied Japan. I was able to date this particular mark to the 1920s. The plate measures just over 6" in diameter. Great vintage condition. Some wear to the gold, and a few small marks. No chips or cracks.
