20s Liquid Satin Champagne Silk Wedding Gown with Train

A stunning and rare piece for a bride to be The soft and light weight silk is perfect for a wedding in the warmer months. The attached long cape adds such a fun antique element to this piece. You can even lift it and wear it upon your wrist should you desire. The dress has a number of interesting drapes and gathers - demonstrating its 20s style and the incredible skill of the dressmaker. There is no tag to indicate maker. The base of the cape is gathered and sewn to give a bit of a cushion affect (see photos). Dress hooks up the side with hook and eye closures and snaps closed on one shoulder. Best fits a Small and maybe a Medium. Please remember 20s style is meant to fit loosely.

Measurements provided are at the absolute maximum for this garment but please remember that a 20s style gown is meant to be loose.

Bust: 38 inches maximum

Waist: 34 inches maximum

Hips: 40 inches

Length of dress: 53 inches

Length of train: 65 inches

Good vintage condition - This gown is in great shape, especially for its age. There are a number of small marks on the silk that will come with age. There is also a few pin holes, one on the shoulder (probably from a brooch) and some on the back. The ones on the back are mirrored by a few small holes in the silk of the cape - this is where the cape was once tacked down to the body of the dress. None of the holes on the back are obvious when worn as the cape covers it. The base of the cape (the underside) has some discoloration - it is not noticeable while dragging along behind. Minor threads and fabric loose on the INSIDES of the garment. Please do not hesitate to ask me more questions if you have them.
