This flapper era ring is made of sterling silver and emerald green glass. The glass has been etched with a stylized leaf design. It is a large statement ring, the glass oval measuring 1.25 inch x 1 inch. The sterling silver shaft is marked on the inside,"STE". The detail of this classic art deco design is the bee's knee's. It is a size 8.5 fitting a larger than average female hand. Please wear and store with care. It is at least 90 years old!

This typical flapper design ring is circa 1920 and made by a high end costume jewelry maker of the time. The first half of the 20th century was the heyday for well made costume jewelry sold from fine department stores to Woolworth, usually made in Europe or the United States. The manufacture and quality of costume jewelry deteriorated in the latter part of the century making this era the last with enduring products.
