This classic beauty could be a home made depression era hat, as there is no label, and simple to make, as the fabric is just gathered with a few stitches at the top. Clever design, as it looks so chick, and reminds me of so many hats from the movies, based on a jester look. Four dangling velvet tassels with black jewels could be jet or plastic. Interior is lined and has hat band. One small nick at the rim of the hat in the back can be mended, and is the only flaw. 21-22 inches diameter.
