- Antique 1920s Victorian revival mourning // sentimental style celluloid brooch featuring an intricately carved flesh colored female hand holding a sheaf of English yew branches and a wreath of roses.

- Yew branches and roses are painted in light, faded greens and pinks

- For Victorians, yew symbolized sorrow whereas roses symbolized love.

- Celluloid is thick with a medium sized weight to it

- Excellent condition

- Original clasp had either broken or fallen off, but a more modern one has been applied (late 40s/early 50s pin back).
