Here's your chance to own a rare, never-worn 1920's hat pin from Mimi Millinery...
These pins are deadstock (new, never worn) from Mimi Millinery Pty Ltd in Australia -direct to me from the granddaughter and daughter of the original owners. Mimi Millinery was the largest Millinery supply house in the Southern Hemisphere. They sold everything, including but not limited to, vintage hoods, braids, veiling, flowers, French hat pins, and French straw. The company no longer exists but a few of these deadstock pieces exist from the 1920's -1940's and I have them for sale in my shop!
This stick style hat pin is handmade, from France, and features a little 'cup' piece with five small stacked balls inside. Each of these is covered in raffia style straw, with the cup in a soft cream color, and tan brown & ivory colored balls on top. These have been secured to a brass colored metal stick pin base, which comes with a brand new rubber stop for the sharp tip. The overall condition is deadstock (never sold, never worn) with no flaws to note and minimum wear from storage. Please see photographs for full details. Comes with original paper tag that reads 'Made in France' and '5024' in red marker on one side, with penciled notes on the opposite side.
