This wonderful sterling silver art deco vintage ring is quite lovely. The emerald green paste stone sits relatively high in the cut filigree sterling silver - geometric floral mount in what could be described as tulips and dots with Ivy. It was made by OB - Ostby Barton. The company founder died in the Titanic while his daughter survived (a lot of family history online). It is estimated to be from the 1920s - 1930's. It belonged to a good friends Grandmother.

The faux emerald green stone is scratched so the ring was obviously worn a lot and much loved. The stone is also a little tilted in the setting. It doesn't appear to be loose but one could have it placed more level and possibly a jeweler could polish the hard cut glass paste stone? Another alternative would be to pick out a stone and have it replaced in any color or one could leave as is. The scratching is not obvious unless you look at it in strong light eyelevel.
