1974 Presidential Political Novelty Print Deadstock Bell Sleeve Mini Dress Green Red Kennedy

If you’re a fan of novelty prints, this is the piece for you. It might even be the most historically significant novelty print from the 70’s featuring many presidents and political campaigns from both sides of the aisle over the years from the 60’s to the 70’s. I have managed to date this piece to 1974 based on the subject matter (timing of the campaigns) and the union labels. This piece is also an extra level of rarity given it is still new with tags deadstock! So freakin cool!! Whatever your political beliefs, this piece encompasses a very important period in American politics. The fabric is a soft yet sturdy cotton and rayon blend (as the original tags show, this was a new combo at the time branded as Avril, Rayon Improves Blends. I do tend to agree that rayon makes cotton a lot softer! It has front pockets and a trapeze style cut with a cute boho bell sleeve making this piece an interesting combo of subjects for the period.
