There are metal loops under the bows on the back so it is ready to have a train of your choosing attached. The original train had been made into a christening gown. There is a small area where lace was salvaged to repair other sections of the dress that is slightly lighter in the back but could be tea blotted to your desired shade. Please see photos for more details.
