WOW, this is a real treat even in the condition. Found a moving violation in the pocket dated 1969 so you can probably go to have age issues and it does. It would be well worth dealing with them and I will price for issues.

Issues are mainly the liner. The liner is shredding, it won't probably be able to save for too long. It's just basic fabric rot that I usually would not even list any item with this issue but this is so rare and stunning it deserves a second life. The pockets had liner also and this seems to be failing also. I DID FIND THE BUTTON IN THE POCKET so all buttons are there. As for the outer coat, it needs to be cleaned professionally. It has been just hanging in a closet for over 50 years! It is dusty, there are some light stains that will probably fade or be gone with cleaning. There are moth bites but not seen any through and through or in your face but they are there. And I see some white thread poking out at the back seam of the right sleeve. This is probably a repair at one time and you may want to have a seamstress repair this when you replace the liner.

There are items that are worth the time and money to restore and this is one. The collar is amazing. The coat is more structured than I can show in the photos. High and pointed and structured collar. Cuffed sleeves with button detail and pleated back.

I would venture this is a small or extra small contemporary size but USE MEASUREMENTS.

Measurements are taken flat back from seam to seam. The bust is taken pit to pit flat back and needs to be doubled as well as waist and hips.

Sleeve - 22"

Bust ( pit to pit) - 17. 5"

Waist - 17"

Hips - 22"

Length - 32"

It is 70% wool and the rest a blend.
