This original Little Red Book, by Mao Tse-Tung was purchased by me in 1966. It was not available in my home town of Buffalo, New York, so my family had to travel up to Toronto to buy it there, along with a copy of the 45 record "Eve of Destruction", also banned in Buffalo. These 1966 editions go for as much as $400. 00. I have never taken it out of its textured plastic cover, and dare not do it now. The paged are all in perfect condition, as is the delicate onion paper that covers the portrait of Mao. There are 33 chapters or subjects, and 312 pages of quotations. Each section is a subject such as "Unity". This is the first edition.

The satirical 1968 volume called "Quotations from Chairman LBJ", goes for about $40. Each book measures 5" x 3, 5" x 5 eights of an inch. The LBJ book has 189 pages.
