Fur pieces from the ’50s and ’60s evoke all the lux, decadent glamour of Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor. Bundle up in the classic and timeless piece made in the U.S.A. by Leathers by New England Sports Wear Co. The body of the jacket is made from a gorgeous taupe colored deerskin suede and the silhouette is long and sleek, closing with a hidden snap and button and finished with a matching belt waistband. It boasts long sleeves, two front pockets, and silky smooth bronze colored lining making it slip on and off over layers with ease. This masterpiece is finished off with a soft, beige fur collar for extra warmth and glam. The inside has it’s original tags which read “Made in U.S.A. Leathers by New England Sports Wear Co. Peabody, Mass.” and reveal the size to be “6”. It was previously owned by Joyce Kim Lee, an Emmy Award-winning Costume Designer, with more than 25 years of experience. She designed costumes for over 50 productions in theatre, opera, and dance and worked on over 30 tv and movie projects. This piece was from her costume collection and was used on set or stage….who knows what piece of Hollywood History this vintage coat holds!
