My husband actually belonged to the "Look it up" club, as a child! One day about 40 years ago, I was in a Salvation Army, and I actually found an old pinback that said " We Look It Up". Of course, I bought it for him, and of course he lost it, but that is the way it goes! This is the January issue of the monthly "bulletins" you would receive, if you were a member of the club. It was an extension of the World Book Encyclopedia enterprise. This book has 72 pages of puzzles, games, crafts, health hints, history, civics, geography, citizenship, holiday information , nature, hobbies, arts, poetry, stories, contests, party ideas, etc. Good habits for January include Leadership, Peace, fair Play, and Gratitude.
Great for old -fashioned home schooling! I did not find ONE reference to religion, unlike many children's books from that era. A little yellowed, but not at all brittle. No worry about using it or handling it. Great illustrations in red and blue. measures 7" wide and 9. 75" tall. Some items have references to find answers in the encyclopedia, so if you have it great!..if not, there is still the world wide web! in the USA.
