1940's antique white straw hat. Narrow crown is high and indented, wrapped with a wide black grosgrain hatband. Tucked into the back is a matching hatpin. Underneath is attached black veiling which is secured in a way that creates a scalloped edging that lays over the short downward curved brim. Body is a narrow weave straw in an slightly off white color. Interior is finished with the standard petersham ribbon only. I will include an elastic placement band you can attach to the inner ribbon for placement security.

Excellent condition. The only thing to mention is the inside of the crown area is darker than the rest of the hat. But it is on the inside so it doesn't show.

The only label is the Consumer Protection Tag.

Inner circumference at the ribbon is 17 inches. Circumference at the brim is 31 1/2 inches. Crown rises 2 1/2 inches and brim extends 3 1/4 inches in the front, slightly less on the sides and back.
