I have about eight red vests to photograph and post, and this is the first. Great condition! I now see there is one flaw: a break in the fabric at the top of the back . This can be fixed by folding over the fabric slightly and machine sewing it down. You could even place a red ribbon over the break, if you did not want to shorten the back by folding over. As I expect you would wear this with a shirt, the collar will hide the flaw, but if you wear with a turtleneck, you may prefer to fix it. No other problems. label could be anywhere from the 30s- 60s. Buckle says USA, so this was made in the USA using Imported Irish linen. LOVE the embroidered fleur de Lis in Navy blue. ! Its unusual to find a vest with a linen back...they are usually satin. FOUR very useable pockets! Go by measurements. Enjoy!
