1912 Oct. Edition of "academy Notes" From The Buffalo Fine Arts Academy ( Later The Albright Knox Art Gallery) Buffalo New York Original$75.00
A quarterly publication from the Buffalo Fine Arts Academy, at the Albright Art Gallery, now known as the Albright Knox Art Gallery, in Buffalo, N. Y. This limited edition is bound with a silk twisted cord and has a feint art nouveau pattern printed on the front and back inside pages. The cover is a suede-soft paper cover. There are 111 pages, many with black and white photos of artifacts to be shown at the gallery. One folded page has come loose. There are no tears, no stains, no yellowing, no dog ears, brittleness or creases. The back cover has advertising, and there are ads in the inside back cover. The front inside cover lists the contents. There are 13 articles and 38 pages with illustrations. Some pages have several illustrations, and some illustrations are full page, such as the painting by the Irish artist, John Lavery, which was exhibited there. The only comparable I could find is a similar booklet from the same institution, a few years later, for $65. 00. Due to the age and wonderful condition of this, I am asking $75. 00. Wonderful gift for the collector! The booklet measures 11" x 7".For the arts buff.
