A striking vintage 1918s US army wool hat. Khaki green wool with green stitching. Inside is a cotton sweatband and the original label. Measures 21.5" round the inside. On the same label is tons of lovely info...the name of the hat maker, Buchstahl & Lewis, the army contract number and date ( September 21, 1918), the size 7, and written in what appears to be pencil the name of the original owner, William Johnson. Excellent vintage condition. There are a few areas of wear to the wool and thats really all worth noting.
