1920s Natural Straw Cloche with Black Circle Embroidery - 1920s Cloche - 1920s Spring Cloche - 1920s Summer Cloche - Antique Straw Cloche

Professionally made with no design and manufacture labels present. This stunning early 20th century hat is done in fine, pale natural woven straw and features bold black chain stitch embroidery featuring a unique and dynamic circle an squiggle pattern. The hat is styled as a wide brim cloche with an intended fit as shown, down snug to the ears with the brim to frame and shade the face. The interior of the hat is lined in a pale champagne silk and there is grosgrain trim around the outer edge of the underside of the brim.

Condition is listed as very good plus to near excellent. The seam where the crown and the brim meet is visible upon close inspection. The hat may have had a ribbon at one time that would have hid this construction notation. I note one small weak spot in the straw where the brim has a natural crease, this is unseen without very close inspection and does not appear to be a progressive issue if the that is properly stored and cared for. There is some minor shattering noted to the interior silk lining. This does not deter from proper presentation or wearability.

I have never seen such a uniquely detailed design, this would make a beautiful addition to an advanced hat collection.
