This is a lovely set of 10 vintage round teardrop ornaments in two tones of gold with little white stars on them. They are considered vintage novelty ornaments because they aren’t just a solid-color ball shape. They are handblown and 2 ½” long.

Please note that the little specks of what looks like dirt on the teardrops is actually dark mica that has flecked off the stars and stripes between the two colors of gold.

I'm going to throw in some round gold balls just so you have an even dozen.

There are so many ways to use these ornaments—on the Christmas tree, of course, as well as displayed in bowls, on plates, scattered among your other decorations, and more.

These balls have the gorgeous patina of vintage glass balls that just can’t be replicated with new ones. But along with that beauty comes age marks—some scratches, crazing, fading, spots, discoloring, paint loss, rust or tarnish on the caps, or other imperfections.

I’m not sure who manufactured them but they are quite old—probably pre-World War II (making their history even extra special!). They come in a box bottom only (no lid).
