Looking for a durable, wearable late 1920's style cloche hat? Look no further...I purchased this hat from a secondhand shop that I worked in, during the early 2000's, called The Family Jewels, in NYC. Handmade, by John Callahan (European) Millinery it is a wonderful retro style cloche reproduction hat that would have been from the late 20's to early 30's. It's made of a medium weight felted wool in medium grey tone, and features a black velvet trim along the brim, as well as the base of the hat, which has a layer of sage green colored velvet trim, which has been fashioned into a permanent bow on the right side. Inside of hat is also expertly made, with a black satin lining, and ivory color petersham trim which houses and elastic drawstring. The overall condition is excellent, with no flaws to note, and minimal signs of wear, which include very light staining to petersham trim and one pinhead size pock mark at back crown.
