This line of brooches from the early 2000's was made for nostalgia. They were made to look like toys of the late 40s/early 50s, which were always in primary-colored plastics and metals. These symmetrical assemblage works also have a bit of a Deco vibe. Made with bits and pieces of vintage jewelry as well as "floor sweepings" from old jewelry manufacturers. NOT piled high! Does it give you a breath of upcoming Spring? Summer?
