This c.2000s, black beaded silk chiffon halter dress by BCBG Max Azria is very 70s Haltson-inspired, with its plunging neckline, backless design, and faux-wrap-around or spiral skirt. The semi-sheer, bias-cut chiffon has an opaque crepe lining. The right side of the bodice and the left side of the skirt are trimmed with black glass beading and dark silver sequins. The 2-layer skirt is tiered, with an asymmetrical hem. The unstructured, halter bodice ties at the back of the neck, and is therefore somewhat adjustable in length. The dress fastens with an invisible zipper at the side seam. A slinky, sexy, totally 2000s party dress, this beauty is pinned to our mannequin, but labeled a size 12. I’ve included a side-view photo of it unpinned (last photo), to better show the extra room at the waist. The bias-cut fabric has some give to it, which is reflected in the measurements, below. The dress is in excellent condition.
